Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery is a medical specialty focused on reconstructing, repairing, and enhancing the appearance and function of the body. It includes two main areas: reconstructive surgery, which restores form and function after injury, disease, or congenital conditions, and cosmetic surgery, which aims to improve aesthetic appearance. Plastic surgeons treat a wide range of conditions, from burn injuries and trauma to breast reconstruction and facial deformities.

Reconstructive plastic surgery often plays a critical role in helping patients recover from serious medical conditions or accidents. This can include skin grafts for burn victims, repair of cleft lip and palate, or reconstruction after cancer surgery.
